Alumina production process

[China Aluminum Network] Because 80% of China's bauxite capital is high-aluminum, high-silicon, hard-dissolved diaspore, for this kind of capital, it is not possible to follow the commonly used Bayer process for the production of alumina. China's alumina production process is mainly as follows:
1. Sintering method: The traditional method for the insoluble characteristics of Chinese bauxite. At present, the production of alumina by the sintering method still accounts for about 40% of the country's total production, but the production process is also constantly improving.
2. Mixed-joining method: that is, the low Al-Si ratio ore is used for the sintering method, and the high Al-Si ratio ore is used for the Bayer method. There are logistics interspersed in the two process flows.
3. Beneficiation - Bayer process: It is through the beneficiation method to effectively separate the aluminum-bearing ore deposits in the bauxite from the silicon-bearing ore deposits, thereby improving the aluminum-silicon A/S ratio (aluminum-silicon ratio) in the aluminum-bearing ore deposits. The high A/S ratio of the aluminum-bearing ore deposits can be economically disposed of by the Bayer process.
This method of beneficiation and Bayer's joint production of alumina is the beneficiary-Bayer process, which will play a significant role in the development of the Chinese alumina industry in the future.
