Characteristics and Application of High-alumina Cement

However, the strength of high-aluminum cement in the later period may decrease, especially in the hot and humid environment above 30°C, the strength will decline faster, and even cause structural damage. Therefore, the use of high-alumina cement in structural engineering should be prudent.
(2) The heat of hydration is large and concentrated in early release. It is suitable for winter construction and cannot be used for large volume concrete works and projects in high temperature and humid environment.
(3) Has good sulfate resistance. This is because its main component is low-calcium aluminate, with very little free calcium oxide, and the cement stone structure is relatively dense, so it is suitable for projects that require sulfate resistance.
(4) poor alkali resistance. Contact with high-alumina cement and alkaline solution, even if the concrete aggregate contains a small amount of alkaline compounds, it will cause erosion, it can not be used for contact with alkaline solution engineering.
(5) Good heat resistance. Because the solid-phase reaction occurs at high temperatures, the sintering combination replaces the hydration bond, so that high-alumina cement can maintain high strength at high temperatures.
